while we're at it, bring back 70s unhinged dramedies, where everything is kind of heightened/insane because they couldn't say that stuff plainly at time, people weren't ready to hear it (broadly speaking), a la MASH, One Few Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Network, And Justice For All, Little Murders, etc

for everyone asking, yes, this is (another) remake of day of the jackal. fine enough on its own, but kinda laughable as a remake of the OG jackal for myriad reasons. but at least the police properly suck, so there's that.
