And doing it publicly feeds the Lazy Mob, the ones who would totally be down to ruin someone's day/week/life, but don't because of the amount of work involved hunting reciepts.

The only one I have any recent experience with is www.simplemachines.org, though I'll admit that experience is minimal. It's used at $DayJob, in 10 years we've had it go splat... twice, and both of those events were badly-planned-upgrades-to-web-services related, not smf's fault.

Foundation, for me, is kinda like the "Romeo + Juliet" version of the Foundation series: The same "foundation" (heh) of the story, it's just lots of details are different.

The series also has the "benefit" of hindsight in that in the books, Demerzel being what (s)he is was a MASSIVE retcon.

Personal opinion: Asimov is good at creating stories, they're just too ?cerebral? to easily adapt to non-written-word formats.
