always been playing catch up with his sworn rival. Sephiroth, for all his posterity, never paid it any mind. Things had not changed.

Whether he could win or not, he didn't care. He was going to try his hardest to take Sephiroth down.
He wanted to win. He couldn't fail. Yet, no matter how many times he practiced against fake Sephiroth, he always lost. This was real.

In answer, Sephiroth parried both swings, before retaliating with one of his own to send him skidding backwards. He followed through by dashing forwards, delivering his own powerful volley of swings, only to lock their blades.

He closed his book and put it in his pocket. He drew his sword and didn't hesitate to go at Sephiroth.
He raced towards the man and swung at him.
He swung again, taking a different aim this time.

He was truly happy that Sephiroth was still here.
Why wouldn't Genesis be alive and well? He was quite confused but fine.
