Some doodles about interacting with Renning! Given that he is a very small machine, he is very particular about being touched. He comes off as rude or antisocial because of it, but he has good reason to be particular!

Finally got a new drawing tablet (Kamvas 13 Gen 3) and I tested it out with this doodle and fell in love immediately. Its fairly cheap, and lineart feels AMAZING. I still recommend the H610pro for its cheap sturdiness, but this is the goat for small screen tablets imo✨️

Seriously considering making my next comic in traditional media. It'll be a pain, but dang it my art never looks better than when I draw traditional. And more importantly, its FUN!! Way more fun than digital. I'll be experimenting with this more very soon. 💪

Some test panels to mess with the manga pens I have. Starting with the upper left panel, we have a comedic panel of Renning being annoyed with Neven to test background effects. Below that is Neven blowing cigarette smoke (to test my thinner hatching). Then next to those is a panel of Neven looking tired while Renning shouts (balloon test). The panels of Neven and Renning's eyes are to test my ability to make more close up details. The small panel of Neven’s shoulder mark is for practicing smaller detailed panels, and the small panel in the corner is of Renning’s arm to see how thick black shading looks.

I have slept more in the last few days than I have for this ENTIRE past year. Who knew all it took for me to get a proper amount of sleep was two stitches, a tetanus shot, and a gratuitous amount of bloodloss.

Some head-empty doodles. I really gotta use these Arrtx pens more lol. Also traditional art feels a lot easier for me than digital. It really forces me to make use of what I have and think as opposed to slapping a gradient map over something and calling it a day. Its great practice 💖

The other day I hurt myself at work bad enough to require two stitches, and I only JUST got my wisdom teeth pulled a few weeks ago. Its hard to sleep, so I am coping with Dungeon Meshi. Chilchuck is my fave, but Senshi heals my soul. ✨️

As for what he did to be punished, it was likely something violent.

I have gotten a bit lazy with my digital art over the years. I have developed some bad habits in the name of drawing faster, and I want to correct that! There are some things I would tweak, but otherwise I am pretty happy with how this turned out~

I think I've finally found the color pallets I want for Neven and Renning! Renning has always been a silver-grey color, but he looked very washed out when compared to Neven. Now hopefully he looks a bit better (though I am tempted to change the mask color still...)
