I has put a damper on what should’ve been a home run console, at least for people who value physical media. Although, the tide may be turning because I’m starting to see smaller publishers opt for true physical carts. Hades II, Yooka-Replaylee, and Over The Hill are a few on my radar.

While they could change course later if they see fit, so far they’ve stuck to the original statement that there will be no upgrade path for the Switch version. Seems like a dumb decision to me, but I’m sure they have their reasons.
