There’s a lot of things that REALLY suck about being unemployed & running out of financial runway, & high on the list is the fact that you can’t support friends the way you want

In terms of dumb product limitations, there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to use the Nanoleaf app itself as a timer for my smart bulbs. It shouldn’t require another device, especially since the bulbs can technically shift through their own circadian rythym timing on their own 😑

I took today as a ‘sick day’ from job hunting because I had nothing in the tank, & instead spent the day on my couch working on silly craft projects & marathoning Stranger Things. Between those things & a surprise gift showing up from a US friend wanting to lift my spirits, it’s been a decent day 🥰

Vancouver needs some level of ‘no confidence’ or impeachment process for both city council and the mayors office.

It's grim to see PayPal launching this new service days before Black Friday - feels predatory. I'm too tired to bother looking into the terms (and I bet that 1 in this screenshot is doing some heavy lifting) but even if this is how it represents itself, I cringed heavily at this email.

Accidentally lost my shit crying when we were leaving the care home - I’m always of the opinion that nurses don’t get enough credit, but one saw me crying, grabbed me Kleenex & water without asking, gave me a BIG hug, and then fed me a piece of chocolate 🥲🩷 so that one especially

Staying at my parents house for one night because the movie I saw was out here and we have a 10:30 am extended brunch with family - but since it’s not an extended stay I don’t have my cervical pillow with me and I can’t believe I’ve hit the phase of adulthood where this makes me deeply sad 🥲😅👵🏻
