Can’t stop thinking about last night’s Pumpkin Pie. Each year; my aunt and cousin bring their works of art to dinner. We EAGERLY await these.

Thankfully we have an entire pie left over 😍 please behold this glory.

A full pumpkin pie with a geometric pattern on top using a very thin layer of sour cream and pumpkin spices. Hard to explain the swirly pattern; but it’s pretty af. The crust is a perfect squiggle edge

If you or anyone else needs to know what station it was aired on (I never listen to the radio, but my parents do!) Google says this is the Jill Bennet Show (maybe) on 730 CKNW (def that radio station).

I don’t know the name of the VPD representative she interviewed, I didn’t catch it.

We’re probably going to see a crappy PR push to more publicly broadcast crimes, attacks, et cetera, in order to stir up more fear & distract the public from the VPD budget issues, plus the shitty mayoral stuff.

The ONLY hope Sims has to win again in this climate is to make the city fearful.

… we would know who was stabbed, who was spat on. Being spat on is still an assault and a crime, but it’s a different tone of assault & these details are important for public safety knowledge/sentiment. They know this because in the past they’ve spoken to this stuff directly.

This doesn’t downplay the serious crime that occurred & the devastation those folks are enduring.

But the VPD has been known to fear monger, they’re over budget & there are concerns about how/ethical oversight, & the VPD-friendly mayor/city council are VERY unpopular atm.

The reporter thankfully caught it in the way the officer was speaking, because she pushed back to assess if the # of victims released is folks that were stabbed; or something else like being spat on for some. The officer refused to clarify for ‘evidentiary’ reasons but… the public deserves to know.

Listening to the news, & the VPD are playing some insane politics with how they’re releasing details about a stabbing attack that happened Fri morning

Need to find the energy to expand on this, but the attack itself sucks & is horrid for victims - AND how they’re releasing info on number of victims

Day after Thanksgiving Dinner backyard lounging weather - after a few days of rain, the birds are going NUTS today ❤️
