hi i got this to work! here's what i did in case anyone else has this problem:

first, go into etc/bluetooth/input.conf, remove the # from ClassicBondedOnly=true, and change it to ClassicBondedOnly=false. then:

1. restart the bluetooth service by entering "systemctl restart bluetooth[...]

everywhere i search, it says you should be able to just connect a wii u controller to a pc on linux using bluetooth but that is absolutely not the case lmao, and i can't find a solution anywhere

recently cleaned out my closet and retrieved my xbox 360, wii, and wii u. while i haven't tested the wii u, the other two work!!
