This time of year there are always a lot of differing views around Poppy Wearing. For me it is quite easy, I wear a poppy with pride to honour the sacrifice of so many brave men and women who fought and died to allow me the freedom to choose. We should never forget, thank you never seems enough.

I wanted to right something that sums up the gravity of the two year anniversary of the heinous attack but also the subsequent and equally tragic Genocide. In essence the hostages need to be returned immediately and equally the genocide needs to end. Killing on both sides cannot be tolerated.

So sad to hear about the attack in Manchester today. Loss of innocent lives whether by terrorism or state actions is unforgivable.

Whilst I was politically opposed to the perspective of Charlie Kirk. Political figures from all perspectives have lost their lives in recent years, and whatever people think every one of those killings was unacceptable.
