Yeah, I don't think I could personally describe any platformer I've played as "cozy".
And, if you don't have anything specific to compliment, then just say what you actually want to say, and don't bother with the compliment sandwich.
A dead giveaway is when your compliments are all general, and your criticisms are all specific. If you're going to use the compliment sandwich, make sure your compliments are at least as specific as your criticisms.
IMO, he's also kind of a doofus in the HBO show.
The vast majority of indie games do not make a profit.

Whenever people talk about indie games "saving" the industry or anything like that, their mental model "indie games" is usually based on a small (and wildly unrepresentative) sample of indie games.

You only think that vecause you will never hear about the vast majority of indie games.
How I was taught this in school was that "feudalism" was a political system between the king and nobles, while "manorialism" was an economic system between nobles and peasants.

It sounds like you're proposing to just replace the word "feudalism" with "vassalage" in that model.
The best part is that, if you cast silence on him during the fight, his voice cuts out, meaning that he is actually diegetically singing.
I mean, the Rule of Two gets broken all the time, so I'm not sure why it should be a big impediment.
I literally didn't know this movie existed until just now.
So if, hypothetically, a term were invented to refer to a type of anime character, but some people started using it to refer to real people, it would still be fine, as long as you're exclusively using it to refer to fictional characters, right?

Urban Dictionary: trap
trap: in anime, a boy that is so feminine, he looks like a girl; often more attractive than other girls.

I'm curious, do you think it's fine for people to refer to fictional characters by slurs? After all, they aren't real, and can't be harmed by it.
It will never not be hilarious to me that Ashley manages to be more moral than the entire ME2 cast.
To be fair, it's pretty rare for an RPG to hold up as well on a 2nd playthrough as it did on its 1st.
I do remember DAO having a decent difficulty curve but, OTOH, I started on medium difficulty and ended on nightmare, so that was more a matter of me creating the difficulty curve myself.
I don't personally consider them as such.

(I realize there are approximately a billion different definitions of CRPGs, but for me an important element is having degree of separation between player skill and character skill.)
Are there any CRPGs that generally get harder, rather than easier, as you play them? I'm having trouble thinking of a single example.

It's kind of wild to me that we've all more or less acceted this one genre has the opposite of the difficulty curve you'd find in most games.
I think level 1 in (modern) D&D can best be thought of as the tutorial level. Helpful for first-time players, but there's not much reason for people who've played before to start there.

This differs from level 1 in older editions, where you are very likely to randomly die.
I'd say Papers Please, but IMO it suffers from the opposite problem where, i.e. you can choose to only feed your family every other day, and they'll mostly be fine.
(I should mention that I never actually recruited Karlach, Minthara, Jaheira, or Minsc, so I'm basing their rankings mainly on 2nd-hand info.)
IMO,

Complete:
-Shadowheart
-Lae'zel
-Astarion
-Gale (maybe)

Could use some work:
-Karlach
-Wyll

Feels like a side character:
-Minthara
-Jaheira
-Halsin
-Minsc
I have no idea what the current argument is about, and I am perfectly fine keeping it that way.
