I'm more interested in anti-poverty politics than income equality politics, though they are obviously related.

And the Gini coefficient has its limits.

But the torrent of USian politics especially drives me nuts when it's combined with absence of Canadian facts.

By Gini coefficient (standard statistical measure of income inequality), Canada's doing way better than the US.

US's GC is similar to Haiti & Papua New Guinea

🇨🇦 is like Norway & Sweden.

I would like to particularly congratulate Coun. David Hendsbee for sending, in writing, an email stating "no reason to be suspicious about this, folks, we do meetings like this that plausibly break the law at least annually. It's great!"

This fits with the responses I got when I wrote Councillor Purdy about how upset I was at the Lake Major facility discontinuing fluoridation.

Affordability!
Oh, this is fun. Halifax Water's rates are going up so much now because they burned surpluses to keep the rates artificially low instead of using those surpluses to invest in needed infrastructure, so now we're catching up to 2020 and 2022's lack of investment.

LOL no. It's like 5 facilities and 69K tons of soybeans.

Out of ~2,000 facilities and ~100M tons of beans shipped from Brazil to china.
