I will be mainly posting about music, sound & mantra therapy, and shamanism. I'm also a big fan of Star Wars and Star Trek, so expect some sci-fi from time to time.

7 of my antique/vintage Jambati Himalayan singing bowls. These all resonate with a fundamental frequency between 127Hz and 136Hz, so they are ideal when played together as one instrument for inducing brainwave entrainment.

About my Online Zoom Sound Baths
This short video gives an overview of my online sound baths, and what to expect in one of these sessions, along with playing a bowl to give you an idea of the sound signal. This video was recorded immediately after one of my online Zoom sound baths in January 2025, with the mircophones and sound settings left exactly the same as the session. This video was recorded using the Zoom record call function, and it has not been edited in any way, so that you can experience the authentic sound quality. What you need to enjoy a Zoom sound bath: - a stable internet connection- Zoom: you can download the latest update of the Zoom app via: https://www.zoom.com/ - a decent pair of over-ear headphones or loudspeakers with which to listen to the sounds. - A place in which to make yourself comfortable for the duration of this online sound bath. You can either lie down or be seated. I recommend that you have a blanket and a cushion to make yourself as warm and cosy as possible. You can leave your camera switched off for the sound bath. My extensive background in music and live improvisation, coupled with my doctoral research into ‘Spiritual Musicking’ forms the basis of my sound therapy practice. I completed my Sonic Arts Ph.D. at Coventry University in April 2019 with a programme of study combining my music and shamanic practices. My study was entitled "Golden Sunset, Blue Rain: The Shamanic Journeys. A Practice-Based Investigation into 'Spiritual Musicking' and Its Creative Music-Making Realisations." The music from my doctorate, Golden Sunset, Blue Rain, Vols. 1-4, has been commercially released, and it is available to listen to on Spotify and many other streaming stores. Alongside being a sonic artist/composer/improviser/music-maker/'Spiritual Musicker', I lectured undergraduate Music, Music Composition, Music Performance, and Music Technology students at Coventry University between 2010 and 2022. I was also a Guest Lecturer on the MSc in Mindfulness and Compassion. I now teach privately, including delivering a specialist session on the Transformation and Heart Based Practices Diploma, a course run by Dr. Liz Sparkes: https://www.drlizsparkes.com/heartbasedtraining As a sound therapy practitioner, I specialise in metal Himalayan singing bowls (including rare antique bowls) and mantra chanting. My next sound bath for deep relaxation in Sale, Cheshire, is tonight, Friday 17th October at 7:00pm. Featuring the sounds of handmade Himalayan singing bowls and other instruments, the session commences with a guided meditation.

Tickets are £15 per person and can be purchased via:

My sound bath session is at exactly the same time this Friday too. I will make sure to send some good vibes your way as I'm playing my bowls 🤗 🥣 🥣 🥣 🎵 🎵 🎵
Many people assume that I hire a recording studio to make my bowl compositions, but I always record them at home using an occasional table or two, along with my Zoom H6 and my matched pair of omnidirectrional sE8 microphones. I do all the bowl performance, recording, mixing and mastering. [2/2]
My recording setup for my Himalayan singing bowl tracks 'Himalayan Dreams' and 'Ujjayi', which released in early July this year. The 4 bowls are:

1. Dolpo Tantrik (Tantric) - back left
2. Naga pedestal (large) - front left
3. Mani - front right
4. Naga pedestal (cup) - back right

One of my favourite episodes of #StarTrekVoyager

“Computer, activate Emergency Command Hologram!”
OTD: #StarTrekVoyager's "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy," in which the Doctor learns to daydream, sings to soothe Tuvok, becomes the Emergency Command Hologram, and gets the Starfleet Medal of Commendation. Things get a little goofy!
As featured on BBC Radio 3 Unwind's "The Sleeping Forecast", my New Age meditation composition 'Dreams of the Deep (432 Hz)', featuring vocal pad drones and tinkling piano...
