So I ended up not wearing Gizmo for very long at all at the Renfest, as it got way too hot and he's got no internal cooling mechanisms.

It appears that no matter how kind I am, no matter how hard I try, no matter how sincerely I attempt to be a peaceful person, some people will always find a reason for it to not be good enough for them and try to drag me through the mud anyway.
