Progressive outlook, most parties like Labour, LibDem or Green etc. They're not working together, they're too soft yet over 83% of Commons. UK decline & social & economic decay compared to S.M. is a function of our distorted & divisive hate media.

It's likely a confusion. Post Brexit & 14 yrs of Tory decline & 2nd most unequal country in Europe speaks to politics but culturally
yes we are fine in many ways be it London or Edinburgh or lakes or country side
Well I am trying to be realistic as its a problem as even Paul Mason said the other day. Its because its draining a lot of our govt finance. Its a macro issues.
He's too polite, respectful, humble with reporters, the hostile right-wing media, very biased BBC & needs to be more like Johnson, Farage,Trump in the sense of being forceful, showing he's on a 'mission'. Maybe more fun, more human. I asked a student once why he was voting Boris: "He's like one of us"
Yes get discombobulated by this govt. Its too restrained &
lacks cogent comms. Good things are happening in wages, healthcare, big incease in appoints, defence jobs,tech/AI contracts, green technology, public services, deprived areas funds, housing, quicker planning. But they must impact UK working class.
Because it's a very broad term that can cover able bodied too. The Right Wing both Farage & Kamikazi want big cuts in these bills.Insiders say they're problems not least ppl'not being seen'in person sufficiently. How come some bloke on sick benefits staying long time in top Thai resort,Ko Sumi?
It faces a massively hostile press & can't control BBC like Johnson did. But where's the evidence of big money given hostile media & falling polls. It's trying to revive UK after 14 yrs of Tory Neo-liberalism, which increased inequality & broke our public services & infrastructure.
But it's a big movement in power after only 15 months. And this leadership & McSweeney are a small group surely. Are you saying that your Lab movement are just run by a few. Surely you can change leader. Andy Burnham surely or we face fascist Farage or next better Tory leader. Tories mainly run UK.
The 'madness'as defined as repeating behaviour that fails everytime: 2017 loses election, 2019 loses election massively taking Lab back to the year 1935. Blair, Brown and Keir achieved more than anything in Corbyn's 'performative' career. They achieved for working class wellbeing. Corbyn just a cult
Yes I will strongly criticise Labour govt on many things like weak media presence, Gaza horrors, closeness to Trump etc but this is Labour movement in power and its the only party which can keep out the media supported Tories and neofascists.
But Lab have put up minimum wages, public service wages like Nurses,Teachers etc, increased hospital funding, increasing homes & social housing, planning more infrastructure, growth, investing in green technology, defence contracts for our Britain, made rich pay more on Vat fees,NonDoms, etc., job rights.
I refer to my original answer UK spending on 'disability' is unsustainable at highest levels in Europe especially on new cars etc. I can't comment on detail but at Macro level its draining funding from other causes such as chronic illness, social & elderly care, health spending, children's services
Agreed & some will soon but we are left with why such high numbers of younger or middle aged able bodied on disability. Of course there will be tons of genuine cases. Yes healthcare is getting better but after 14 yrs Tory decline. The state has a right to ask these Qs as funding reaches record figs.
The reason it's becoming unstainable : it drives up government 'debt servicing' as foreigners want more return on our gilts. But significantly, it displaces funds from healthcare, education, skills training, regional funding, infrastructure, community services like SEND or social care for elderly etc.
Unfortunately every left leaning economist agrees our welfare spending is unsustainable. You can't have 6.5M not working. No socialist country could sustain that number. Nor should we. Its not socialism in any form. Disability numbers are higher than our peers. The R.Wing say will cut benefits hard.
I have some sympathies but I would say they inherited awful stuff too. They are increasing spending on healthcare, ppl getting urgent scans at weekends, teachers not leaving, big green tech investments, etc. But massive numbers on sick pay highest in Eu.unsustainable.Tell me where new money come from?
Yes there are faults with this Lab govt on several issues but on other things they are doing things after Tory 14yrs any Lab movement would do. Attacking NeoLiberalism/low state spending, rising taxes are needed. Daily Mail hate everyday suggests they are doing something.
Unsure what you mean? Green energy growth & investment, infrastructure projects, big housing commitments, planning laws to move this along faster, large increase in healthcare funding, nurses, teachers pay up, higher UK defence spending when Russia pounds Ukraine only 2hrs or so away. Actions
No,our English Tory media is dominant. It's a Mail type narrative,is always anti progressive, the broadcasters mostly BBC but also Sky or LBC just regurgitate it. The fact of 82% progressive MPs in H.ofC. has changed absolutely nothing. If anything,it's got worse with Lab & others missing from media
Except, likely, that we England in UK parliament, would lose more progressive MPs like Lab, SNP or Lib Dems from Scotland. It is also worth noting that 82% of our UK House of Commons are progressive MPs. Although given last 15months you would not know it. BBC just focuses on 0.06% Refom Neofascists.
Well I half knew about your PR. You're lucky. Down here in England we use the 18th century FPTP that keeps our semi- Feudal System going with the rich in power always no matter whose the government. The Lib Dems failed to change it in the Coalition as the elite's Tory press uniformly opposed it.
Nothing becomes this like at press conferences he chooses reporters from Sun,Mail, Express etc. despite the fact that they serve sh*t everyday in their papers. The hate Mail has just one aim: attack Lab everyday on front page headlines!
I am using the word humble in the sense that Sir Keir is too nice, deferential to power, elites & the public school elites running our media & business.Unlike Farage Johnson or Trump he treats these elites like he is from a humble background like he was. Voters esp males like to see tougher leaders.
Really. Is he dismissing the detailed evidence of different experts gathered in Gaza for the United Nations, International Criminal Court based in Europe, 'Amnesty International', & Human Rights Watch. A senior Labour lawyer who ignored that much would be a fool.
A Labour PM even in prevarication about all this offends all principles of Labour's brotherhood & internationalism and standing up for the International laws established by our democracies post war as at Nuremburg & UN
to end war crimes & crimes against humanity
United Nations, International Criminal Court,Human Rights Watch,Amnesty International have gathered the detailed evidence of
the indiscriminate bombing & destruction of schools, civilian buildings, shelters, hospitals etc thats left so many innocent kids and mums dead & who were not Hamas fighters
