As promised, there’s more.
Cheerful green and violet fox alebrije. The sky is turning pink as the sun rises. There’s a blurry bandshell in the background. The picture is taken at art installation on Raspberry Island in St Paul (also known as the favorite suburb of Minneapolis but don’t tell them I said it). Toucan alebrije on translucent bandshell backlit by dawn. Deer (?) alebrije with striped orange and blue horns and lime green swirly mane.
This right here is why we need more and better AI image moderation.
From yesterday's Sunday Sunrise Club photowalk: friendly neighborhood toucan wants you to remember it is tou-can, not tou-can't (more to follow).
A sculpture of toucan perched upside down on a translucent bandshell.
It's kind of even worse than just being a near-oligarch - he was a prominent establishment-aligned art person in Soviet Union, and a prominent establishment-aligned art person afterwards (and his post-Soviet projects tended to have high budgets).
Part of the appeal of vases is that for some shapes the walls can be single layer thin, so pretty light on filament use while looking cool
AirTag enclosures that go under bike water bottle cage. Outdoor ribbon light holders (I know there’s a bunch for Philips hue, possibly others). Fancy geometric vases. Cable organizers.
A few outtakes from Sunday Sunrise Club photowalk last weekend. It was very fun!
A view from Stone Arch Bridge towards Eleven on the River high-rise building. The clouds are lit pink by the rising sun, but the sun is not visible yet, and the trees by the river are shady. Interior of an atrium, it is painted green. Exposed elevator shafts face the atrium. There are spherical accent lights in a grid pattern, and the sky is visible through the glass roof. The perspective is at gratuitous and maybe not fully committed constructivist angle to make more of the interior geometry fit into the field of view.
Curious about some possible second order effects in this space, if, say, disgruntled maintainers pull packages from public repositories and such.
Software export controls will be a fun stove to touch
Yep, and there are a LOT of models that already exist! Especially if it’s something that solves a common minor hassle.
Ran a smol imaging plan on Andromeda galaxy overnight. 750 mm focal length might be too much, but if it brings out detail maybe it’s ok.
Thanks for reminding that observatory keyholder access training would have benefited from a slide deck 🙃
I like a good test!
…with all the toppings?!
Aerogarden dill no longer floppy. Perhaps even excessively so.
A small aerogarden hydroponic system with dill and basil.
For the record, the like was an expression of sympathy
Bookmarked. I especially like that it shows whether an area is open or closed.
As long as they have good taste in automobiles!
Have you tried pa amb tomàquet with anchovies? (if not, I hope that you do!)
Smoked sprats - particularly the texture of their spines
Chaotic machine spirits: telescope mounts (some are profoundly malignant in esoteric ways; in D&D alignment-speak - chaotic neutral to lawful evil spectrum).

Prusa 3d printers can be benevolent if everyone involved in the assembly process partakes of gummy bears per the protocol.
There was a novel (written in late 19th century) by Veresaev about an earnest doctor who ends up lynched during cholera outbreak by his peasant patients. High-strung people susceptible to folk epistemologies can do the darndest things. I think about that every once in a while.

I really hope this won't lead to a whole lot of proprietary ecosystem silicon abandonware, but, not super-optimistic.
