It's kind of even worse than just being a near-oligarch - he was a prominent establishment-aligned art person in Soviet Union, and a prominent establishment-aligned art person afterwards (and his post-Soviet projects tended to have high budgets).

Part of the appeal of vases is that for some shapes the walls can be single layer thin, so pretty light on filament use while looking cool

AirTag enclosures that go under bike water bottle cage. Outdoor ribbon light holders (I know there’s a bunch for Philips hue, possibly others). Fancy geometric vases. Cable organizers.

A few outtakes from Sunday Sunrise Club photowalk last weekend. It was very fun!

A view from Stone Arch Bridge towards Eleven on the River high-rise building. The clouds are lit pink by the rising sun, but the sun is not visible yet, and the trees by the river are shady.

Interior of an atrium, it is painted green. Exposed elevator shafts face the atrium. There are spherical accent lights in a grid pattern, and the sky is visible through the glass roof. The perspective is at gratuitous and maybe not fully committed constructivist angle to make more of the interior geometry fit into the field of view.

Ran a smol imaging plan on Andromeda galaxy overnight. 750 mm focal length might be too much, but if it brings out detail maybe it’s ok.

There was a novel (written in late 19th century) by Veresaev about an earnest doctor who ends up lynched during cholera outbreak by his peasant patients. High-strung people susceptible to folk epistemologies can do the darndest things. I think about that every once in a while.
