There’s also the ‘Single Brother’s house’ completed in 1766(1768?) that also served as a trade school: www.cityofws.org/2159/Moravia.... That’s one of the places of the sightings of the ‘Little red man’. Who was crushed by a red clay cave in while digging, giving his skin and face a red appearance.

After your tour from a historian in full costume (carrying a real candlelit lantern and all!) you can stop a much less historically accurate coffee shop. During the tour you don’t go in every building but do get to see some rooms light by low fires and candles.

North Carolina has its own Salem! Founded by Moravians pre-revolutionary war. Took the kids on a ghost tour there tonight. I think it’s state law that all elementary school kids have to go there on a field trip at some point to make candles, bake bread, and trip over cobblestone.

Continuing on my ‘Stock the freezer Quest (which sounds more fun and less laborious than ‘meal prep’)’- Roasted carrots and baked garlic blooming onions. They’ll be frozen with a smidge of chicken stock on the bottom of the pan to help it steam with a little bit of moisture when they’re reheated.
