Plants are my passion but the rest of the world is pretty fascinating, too. Except sport.

Neil Young should have been searching here in Black Dog Woods - Poplars shedding hearts of gold everywhere!
I had a very similar one this morning but it was me rather than the Daisy who was confused 😬
Thanks Jeremy, but I think you’ve found just as many!
One of my favourites and I’ve seen none in flower here 🥲
And the yellows - Bristly Oxtongue, Black Medick (Bam-a-lam), Shaggy Soldier, Nipplewort and Yellow Corydalis for #WildflowerHour plus an irresistible urban Perennial Sowthistle.
The pinky-purple group for #WildflowerHour Field Madder making a modest comeback, Ivy-leaved Toadflax, Herb Robert, Cyclamen, Selfheal and, getting down with the knotweeds, a Hardheaded. All in Bradford-on-Avon.
Witchgrass - stunning garden escape in Bradford-on-Avon for #WildflowerHour
A Round-leaved Geranium in focus! Amazing! Plus Trailing Bellflower, garden escape Plumbago, and a Forgetmenot for #WildflowerHour
I was aghast at the swathes of Japanese Knotweed along the railway leaving Swansea a few weeks ago. Several kilometres I should think and marching up the embankment too.
A few for #FungiFriday from Picket Wood near Trowbridge

Thanks! They went on one of my miscellaneous sheets to the VCR, Roger, when they were really quite small - 5th August!
Well I won’t bother to post mine from Church Street in Bradford-on-Avon then. Oops! 3 statuesque plants.
But my favourite find was this Common Centaury in a rubbish-strewn gateway #WildflowerHour
After the rain and wind there are still a few brave flowers: Common Ragwort, Meadowsweet, Wild Carrot, Ivy & Upright Hedge Parsley, then Red Clover, Marsh Woundwort, a bedraggled Common Fleabane, Bramble & Herb Robert. All in Monassa, Co. Kilkenny for #WildflowerHour
Singles - including Penny Bun? - and troops of toadstools, all looking wonderful in the Monassa woods in Co. Kilkenny #FungiFriday
Nearly forgot these #WildWebsWednesday pics from this morning - spiders on Bramble and thistle, and a rose gall I don’t remember seeing before. Co. Kilkenny
That was Russulas of course
And loads more for #MushroomMonday from Co. Kilkenny - an Apricot something, 2 Russia’s I think, and a ground-dwelling brackety thing! No books with me 🙄
Thanks Caroline. More attractive than some slime moulds I’ve seen!
Masses of the bonnets (?) on the grass here in Co. Kilkenny but just one gorgeous orange sponge on some wood - ID for that one would very welcome. #MushroomMonday
Very late for #WildflowerHour here are some #PavementPlants from last week in Bradford-on-Avon Field Poppy, Herb Robert, Opium Poppy and Hemp Agrimony.
