Hyviä esimerkkejä on esimerkiksi muovituotteiden valmistukseen liittyvän tiedon katoaminen. Suomessa ei ole muottien valmistajia enään montaa Nokia buumin jäljiltä. Globaalin kilpailun takia nämäkin hiljalleen siirtyneet Aasian puolelle. Ohjelmointi myös on vähemmän suomennettua aluetta.

Sama ongelma on myös ammatillisen kirjallisuuden kohdalla. Syventäviä kirjoja ei löydy suomen kielellä. Vielä pahempi ongelma on tiettyjen ammattien kohdalla, jotka katoavat globaalin kaupallisen kilpailun takia. Tällöin ei jää mitään kirjallista tietoa suomen kielellä.
