A terrific night watching MODERN TIMES with a live orchestral score (my first time seeing it this way) with @norloll.bsky.social at Cadogan Hall as part of the London Soundtrack Festival. Chaplin’s weirdest feature? 🌽

In future generations, historians will marvel over how quickly twitterestablished itself as central to so many aspects of our society, only to become defunct just as quickly. Lots of technologies go through this process. But rarely so quickly or as a result of a single man and his policies.

Now that we've hit the 100 followers mark, perhaps it would be a good time to flag this up. Recently, @norloll.bsky.social and I were guest boffins on the new @BFI release of early Michael Powell films. I still haven’t been able to watch it though because I don’t own a Blue-ray player.
