Given this trajectory the old lament “everything is derivative these days” will end up literally true. AI is the definition of derivative.

Thanks, appreciate the catch!

Was really struggling to parse the grammar of that sentence. Got it eventually.

To be clear I my position is Free Market Socialism. Where we “capitalise” on the benefits the market affords while addressing inequality via the state. Similar to what we have with great emphasis on redistribution to create balance. And no subsidising industry for jobs and less regulatory capture.

Because you began your argument with…

“I think I disagree that better business necessarily leads to reduced poverty.”

Other than that, everything you’ve said has been in line with my own views.

Our disagreement is probably down to word limit not allowing various caveats to accompany every claim.

Lol, have you read anything I’ve written? I’m constantly advocating for higher taxes and wealth taxes. Saying that businesses provide jobs is not both-sidesism, it’s a fact. If your argument is so one-sided it ignores facts, it’s flawed.

We all want world peace—and that is generally a function of maintaining international relations. So this week’s post aims squarely at... Dr Evil? #GeoPolitics #Conflict #Tariffs #Liberalism #Realpolitik #WorldPeace #Kant #ThomasPaine #ThomasHobbes
DR EVIL & REALPOLITIK
Explore the conflict-driven geopolitics of today through the lens of Political Realism and Liberalism, questioning the sustainability of each approach.

I also did efudix treatment last year, which is to eliminate precancerous cells, but it really helped with rosacea, skin looked really bad for about 2 weeks after but I’d say it provided about 6 months relief.

Can say from experience you'll be very pleased in a week or so.

It doesn't have to be this way...

Ha, lol, I guess I got into this to try to balance good ideas against the bad ones out there, where better to start than Chick Tracts—the original worst ideas.

Thanks for the encouragement and I'll keep the zine thing in mind.

Oh, don't get me started. Not a fan: out of touch rich kids, or people aspiring to one day have out of touch rich kids.

Liberalism is the best response to an "anarchic" environment in International Relations, it's not better than good government.

Hmm, by "charitable" I was meaning, seeing the other side's arguments in their best light, nothing to do with charitable donations.

If you can't recognise/admit that businesses provide employment and necessary goods, then I don't see how you're going to "come together" with anyone.

This occurred to me soon after asking 🤣

Lol, good luck with that.

I'm from NZ so, same.

IMO, r-wing values are drawn from religion, tradition and short-term-self interest (greed), none of which are evidence-based. Whereas l-wing policies are generally guided by outcomes.

Outcomes are more aligned with an open-minded approach to learning reflective of university.
