Without giving *too* much away, the second half of the game has characters with more serious and dark conflicts. Stage 4's background monologue is meant to help introduce everything with more of a build up than if you just saw it some random quick, maybe even confusing, boss dialogue scene

That big pink thing on Lotus's head is actually a bush. Alligator dragons wear plants on their head for camouflage.

The graze/multiplier system has been completely reworked into a new system called "tension"! It has a big impact on your score, and there are tons of interactions to learn and master.
