My family has always referred to older adults whether actual aunts and uncles, older cousins, second cousins or just close family friends as auntie this and uncle that. And that’s in London. Across sub-Saharan Africa auntie and uncle are universally used to show respect for older people.
Is this perhaps something to do with stopping the *water fishing 🎣 * that’s smuggling all those drugs from Venezuela 🇻🇪 with MAGNETS 🧲
I dont know 🧐 must have been the harder 13th question 🙋‍♂️ not easy to answer with Giraffes 🦒 or Crocodile 🐊

We won’t eliminate cholera with vaccines alone.
We need safe clean water, decent toilets, sanitation — and community people who promote, build & manage them.
Until informal settlements are served, cholera will return.

Because the real response isn’t high-tech — it’s human.

The most powerful cholera messages are:
💧 Treat water
🧼 Wash hands with soap before touching food & after touching shit
🚽 Use a toilet or 👣 Bury your shit (the “cat method”)
🧂 Use ORS at first symptoms

These aren’t high-tech. But they save lives when communities believe and act on them.

I’ve helped control outbreaks in Africa *without vaccines*.
What worked?
Treating water (Aquatabs), ORS, and above all: community engagement.
Messages from health workers, leaders, churches & mosques.
It worked — because it was trusted.

I’m no anti-vaxxer — I’ve promoted vaccines my whole career.
They’re vital for Public Health & a useful tool in cholera emergencies.
But they are *not the answer* to cholera.
Most cholera cases are preventable — and treatable — with simple tools and strong communities.

The current cholera epidemic in Africa is alarming.
But it’s not because of vaccine shortages.
It’s because we’re treating cholera like an emergency — not the development crisis it is.
Safe clean water stops cholera, not cold chains.

You’ve clearly got them rattled Zack. Keep it up 👍🏼
Totally 💯- being anti-Zionist or critical of Israel doesn’t make you an automatic anti-Semite (after all many of us Jews are) but it doesn’t mean that you are not. Many anti-Semites hide behind their ideology.
After Oct 7th a radical “friend” asked me: ..what are your lot going to do about this? !!
One cannot help thinking that maybe they are jumping the gun a little 🤏
The end to 3000 years of conflict? Don’t hold your breath!!
You couldn’t make it up!
Not to mention the Venezuelan “water fisherman” he keeps blasting out of the water.
They are pathetic …White House says Trump snub proves Nobel Committee “place politics over peace”
✌🏽 duh 🙄 nominations closed 31st January and the final decision was made on Monday.
So he could be in the running next year if the Gaza deal holds and he stops waging war on his own people.
Blessed are the peacemakers - isn’t that something Jesus said not what people said about themselves? (I’m only Jew-ish, so what do I know? )
Actually, it’s worth re-reading 1984 to see how prescient Orwell was.
Un-fucking believable. You couldn’t make it up!!!
Now now Earl, that is Fake News 📰!!! 😜
Thanks. The last time I was in that area was in 1982 en route Cameroon 🇨🇲 with a few Mercedes and Peugeots !
Those were the peaceful days (of the Cold War)
