This isn't about politics; it's about whether families can count on food being there when they need it. Families can’t afford uncertainty when it comes to feeding their kids. This is a moment of choice for Congress to defend SNAP and give families the stability they need. Visit nokidhungry.com/SNAP

Trump's USDA is hiding the data on food stamp cuts
The agency's food insecurity survey was pointless "liberal fodder," a spokesperson said.

Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released its "Household Food Security in the United States in 2024" report, showing that 1 in 5 children live in food-insecure households.

Immigrants make up about 27% of the US population, with the vast majority being lawfully present. In fact, roughly half of the people in immigrant families are U.S. citizens – mostly children.

Monthly SNAP costs when Joe Biden became President in January 2021: $8.68 billion.

Monthly SNAP costs when his term ended in January 2025: $7.97 billion.

I don't think you need to whip out a calculator to figure out that's not a 40% increase.
Rollins: Joe Biden increased food stamp program funding by 40%. Now… we continue to roll that back… Just gratitude and joy for this work. So, so grateful to you.

Many families will withdraw from the programs for which they’re eligible for—programs that help feed, house and keep them healthy. This means more kids in America will be at risk of hunger, of losing stable housing, of getting sick.

SNAP participants already have to regularly recertify for benefits

it's every year for most, sometimes more often, sometimes a little less (like for elderly and disabled folks)
The Trump admin to require millions of low-income people to reapply for food stamps as part of an effort to crack down on “fraud," Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said.
