@RossDouthat: Religions are human constructs instrumentalized for ulterior motives. We need policies informed by human ethics, international law, the Geneva Convention, etc. Christianity with its divergent interpretations is no good guide. Religion-based policy smacks of violating our Constitution.
The Trump administration “has offered a lot of general rhetoric about the value of Christianity to American civilization,” Ross Douthat writes. “But in the absence of religious-informed policymaking, this sometimes feels more like a performance of a Christian politics than a full reality.”
Opinion | The Trump Administration Needs More Christianity in Its Nationalism
Not too much religious moralism in the administration, but too little.

Late watching S2 of the last of us. S2E1&2 has another woman (after Kathleen in season 1) out for revenge after 5 years as if the last of them had nothing else to worry about. Not sure when it was written and recorded, and now we have an Administration wasting valuable resources on revenge.

Trump again is swayed by a phone call from Putin. What happened when Trump was in Moscow, like in 2013 for Miss Universe? Kompromat? How about instead of beachfront property in Gaza become an exiled almost-King in a "friendly" country. How about beachfront property in Sochi? #NoKings #Ukraine
