He's not the problem, but if this is how his tenure ends, I would've rather Strawberry keep the record. I'm in my 40s so Strawberry was for me what Pete is for kids now. If Pete goes and has wild success somewhere else, him having the HR record is going to be more bitter than sweet, at least for me.

Easy to blame the absolute garbage pitching staff that Stearns assembled for the #Mets collapse, but this offense (which should have been much much better) came up incredibly small every time it mattered. You're allowed to score 4 runs if your starter gives up 3.

Stearns and the coaching staff should be fired and the core needs to be broken up. Keep Soto and the young pitching. Everyone else should be available for the right price. This team is a disgrace. Worse than the worst team money could buy.

#Mets bats have underperformed to the point that no one could have expected lineup to be this bad. But SP is shaking out exactly like all of us feared when they made Holmes & Montas their big acquisitions. Completely predictable. Stearns' plan was flawed & Mets losing because of it.
