🚨 New Mexico - the Government shutdown is upon us.

Funding delays can have devastating impacts on survivors. Local programs are reliant on federal funding and have minimal cash reserves. Even a few weeks of a funding delay equals reduced services, layoffs, and eventually program closures.

By investing in community-led solutions, we're not just preventing harm, but we are creating stronger communities as a whole.

Thank you New Mexico Department of Health for introducing these funds into our communities and investing in both intervention and prevention!

In light of ongoing news about sexual violence, it's incredibly important to keep the stories & wisdom of survivors as the focus.

This isn't just a moment, but a movement for healing & justice.
The programs will use these funds to administer violence prevention programs, focusing on a public health approach to preventing harmful behavior!

We are grateful to the NM State Legislature, NM Department of Health, and everyone who makes this work possible ❤️
Happy #NationalNonprofitDay to all those striving to build a world free of violence & oppression!

It is the love of so many communities, individuals, & programs across the state that make what we do possible & we are honored everyday for that trust, support, & collaboration!
Studies show women, nonbinary folks, & POC are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they fit every qualification. We're an equal opp employer & encourage you to apply, even if you come from a background less traditional to our field or don't meet every qualification!

Not engaging with the data as a whole prevents us from focusing on real solutions that address the root causes of sexual violence in our state. Misuse of the data risks perpetuating the very harm that the survey shows is experienced by so many New Mexicans of all genders.
