Myth: I was convicted of a crime and I spent time in jail or prison so I can't vote.

Truth: If you are not currently serving a sentence of incarceration you CAN vote in NJ.

Truth: If you will be 18 by election day than you can register to vote at 17. In fact, you can even vote in the primaries at 17.

Myth: I have to mail in a copy of my ID with my Mail-In Ballot.

Truth: Your Mail-In Ballot only requires your voter signature. If it is your first time voting there may be more requirements.
