Interesting: The Digimon Story Time Stranger post-release survey uses the term "Monster-raising RPG" while the official website uses "Monster-Taming RPG" to refer to the genre.

I just included this for the crowd that inists Smash Bros isn't a fighting game.

Now when you say incidents, do you mean like the VGC stuff that recently came to light?

If so, I think a voice liike yours might impact things for the better. So if it helps you push through, I think helping to make a safe space for everyone in this game can only do good.
