As long as it's Musk designing the robots, I'm not worried. They'll explode before they make it out of their barracks (or whatever they're kept in.)
If I weren't already planning to vote for Mamdani, this would have decided me. Cuomo's behavior is beyond disgusting, all the way to Trump-like. In the event of a 9/11 type attack--or a 1/6 type attack--he would be worse than useless.
This seems to be a legal issue. If I understand correctly from the article, part of the problem is the FDA's interpretation of the law, but the simplest and cleanest way to change this would be for Congress to modify the law. If we could get the Republican dominated Congress to do anything that is.
Which means that RFK isn't going to do it, no matter how much he claims that he's going to.
I have to admit to being a little unclear on what "ultraprocessed" means and whether all ultraprocessed foods are definitively worse than other foods. For example, I've heard soy milk described as ultraprocessed. Is it really worse for you than, say, cheese or even cow milk?
No access and no time. If you work three jobs (or one job that requires 80-110 hours/week, hello residency), cooking is overwhelming. Convenience and starvation are the options.
Trump has a history of not paying people for work they do for him. I guess he's finally overcome the bureaucracy that forced him to pay people rather than steal their labor.
Crap of a time to reassign INDs and go look for a job on the dark side, but that's my next move if they don't fix this by next pay period.
Yep. And the method by which we're supposed to inform...whoever it is that pays us...keeps changing. My guess is that we won't be paid for this time because we didn't file the complaint the right way (because there is no right way.)
Part of the problem is that that video was barely reported in the US media. It didn't make WaPo or NYT, the "liberal" papers, as far as I know. I think CNN briefly mentioned it, but didn't highlight it and I assume Fox didn't, but don't have the stomach to find out.
No president has ever been removed by impeachment or by the 25th. Trump actually got the closest, having been so horrible that members of his own party voted for his removal...just not enough of them. Now Congress doesn't seem to be able to even bring articles of impeachment to the floor.
Welfare cuts are definitely bad, but who imagines that the far right will restore welfare or otherwise help anyone but themselves? It was the far right that got you into this situation. They will not get you out of it.
Did the "oops, we didn't pay you for last week even though you're exempt and worked then because...um, actually we're not saying why you were listed as furloughed on days you worked, it just happened" email? They say they're going to fix it...
Why isn't the poop video bigger news anyway? I mean, Trump literally endorsed the idea that he was king. That's pretty much an impeachment right there even without the inciting violence aspect. (And the misuse of an oxygen mask which bothers me far more than it should.)
"Losing it" would imply that he ever had it. Thiel has been divorced from reality for quite a long time.
Police reactions that I saw at the march in NYC today: 1. Grooving with the music. 2. Bored, staring at phone. 3. Annoyed look that says "I can't believe I gave up my Saturday to watch people parade around in dinosaur costumes." No riot gear, no tension, no evident issues.
Okay, great, but how about prosecuting him for rape and other crimes of which he has been credibly accused?
It's already been at the FDA and got dropped because it was useless.
I'm sorry. And terrified knowing that the CDC is essentially not there anymore.
Yeah, it's not true or not truly from the people it is attributed to. But it's still not the worst idea in the world.
My initial assessment of why the claim is "flawed" is "no biologically plausible mechanism of action." In other words, not flawed, totally bonkers.
Yeah, that's going to work out great, I'm sure. Threatening to fire people who are overworked never lead to them finding other jobs. (Rolling eyes.)
I don't know why anyone is surprised. This is what the US public voted for, this is what they wanted, this is what they're still cheering on. May the trumpshit in the rural midwest go bankrupt. It's what they demanded.
Seems like a slow learner. What did she think was going to happen when she voted for him?
