Next up was SharePoint Advanced Management. Quite a rollercoaster in what Microsoft delivered. Let's dive into some of the features:

Starting with SharePoint Autofill columns, the highlight of the day. I mainly used h contracts and was impressed with the results. So much better than my previous experience with Syntex document processing. The pricing structure has also been improved.

Had an offsite day with my colleague to play around with some new stuff like SharePoint Advanced Management, SharePoint Agents, and Autofill columns. There were some highlights but the main impression is that many of the products were half-baked.

There has been quite some work from Microsoft to make sure that the sharing experience is similar cross-products. I wish the same effort could be done on how you apply #Purview sensitivity labels. Differs quite a lot between Office, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.

Impressed by the results of implementing the new automatic SharePoint file versioning in our tenant. By enabling this on new and selected old sites we reduced our total storage by 30%

Bing Chat Enterprise => Microsoft Copilot => Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat

Well, I am not sure if this helps the end users understand the difference between the "free" chat included in Entra ID and Microsoft 365 Copilot 😆

Arrg those Entra ID access reviews. If Microsoft just would put in some extra effort they would have been great. Now the review mail is cluttered with non-important or faulty info. The reminder for a review is also sent to everyone, even those who have already answered. #entraid

I switched this one today, and now the work lies ahead on enabling this on all old document libraries without compliance requirements to save all versions. 📈➡️📉

Nice, now this just dropped in to my inbox. I just have to book a flight and get my summer clothes from the wardrobe 🌴

Quite a major M365 outage for the moment. Seems to affect Teams, Exchange, Purview and M365 Search #MO941162

So much awesome stuff happening in the Microsoft Entra space and I really appreciate all work done by @merill.net for keeping us in the loop and developing tools for making our daily work so much easier.

With M365 being my main area of expertise, I always try to keep an eye on what’s happening in the Azure space. A great source for that is the “Ctrl+Alt+Azure” podcast hosted by Jussi Roine and Tobias Zimmerman. ctrlaltazure.com

At work we have this fabulous book club where we meet once a week to share valuable insights and thoughts about what we have read and experienced. This autumn we will dig into “Sooner Safer Happier” by Jonathan Smart.
