Totally valid if you don’t mind the AI images. I do think it’s going to be a big problem though as people have a harder & harder time distinguishing propaganda from reality. Most AI generators have a watermark, but it’s easy to remove.
People know that paintings are art. The problem with AI images is that people often don’t know if they’re real or not. That is a problem when we’re resisting fascism, which relies on the distortion of truth.

I like the sentiment of the picture, but it devalues the millions of people who protested.
Here are some actual photos of actual protesters taken by actual people in Detroit yesterday.
Please please please stop posting AI generated slop. It distorts the truth, pollutes the planet, and pollutes our minds.

Even if it is illegal and a circuit judge orders him to stop, they’ll appeal and it’ll go to SCOTUS. Obvious shadow docket ruling in favor of diarrhea

One really rich dude who pretends to be a gamer said he was gonna make an AI game, so all the less rich dudes who are not gamers but are in charge of game companies thought “we gotta do that!”
Everyone should have a friend like Sylvia
I think I remember reading somewhere that Madeline Kahn improvised the “flames on the side of my face” monologue. So insanely good
I think maybe Sora is a prelude to a hybrid Internet - one where curious, creative people can still share art and ideas, and one where people who enjoy lots of videos of Spiderman beating up grandmas can finally participate.
Interesting commentary on Sora from Wired today.

Saving for when I finally succumb to my midlife crisis and become a witch of the wilds
My brother bought the Star Trek tabletop RPG, and I’m probably going to be the alien Doctor with weird biological quirks and a pet dog that he’s fascinated by.
When someone asks why I’m a dog person and not a cat person, my response is usually some form of “because dogs are adorable dummies”
This is Zebby. He finally managed to catch his tail. Super proud of the accomplishment and would like to pretend no one saw the part right after. 12/10 (IG: zebbythegolden)
“…and then be able to have magic happen”

Right, because when I use my computer, I definitely want it to be magic and not a tool that I know how to use.
“People are in a grotesque amount of Teams meetings, so they must love talking to their computers” is a such a weird but unsurprising conclusion.
