I have no stake in this nonsense, but it's impossible to escape this "controversy." Apparently this fanfic is based on the Baum children's book, NOT the classic MGM musical. Dorothy did not have ruby slippers in the book; silver shoes are source correct.
PS: Try the book. My kids loved it.

I just learned that the character Ford Prefect from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is named after an old car model. In my American version, he will need to be renamed Ford Focus.

It's fine for family, friends, and caregivers to reinforce the delusions of an elder with dementia, but not if he happens to be the chief executive of our nation. Crazy that there are no laws for this.

My dog and I spend a lot time together, so it's only natural he should be sick of me most of the time. But when I mention that I need to run to the grocery, he's suddenly draped over my lap like I've been lost at sea for a year. It's good to be wanted sometimes.

I wish there had been GoPro cameras when I was 22, because the only evidence that I skydived is a few seconds of high 8 touchdown video on a VHS tape somewhere in my basement. Would be nice to relive that POV again all these years later.

My only note: It was a wild twist when the fascist president embraced the Dem Soc mayor of his hometown like his only beloved son, but the writers should have saved the Pope's rave for the final episode of this season of the USA.

This morning is a haze. At around 3:30am, my dog shrieked and shot out of bed to the living room. An inspection of both the bed and canine revealed no obvious cause of the fracas. I sat with him for an hour before convincing him to go back to sleep. Far fetched, but I think it was a bad dream.
