Despite some complicated feelings around the concepts of national identity and patriotism that I will not elaborate on today, I had a nice Canada Day and went to a DIFFERENT local beach.

At a friend's cottage for the weekend and I loved the lighting in my room! I took advantage of that, seeing as it's Friday and all.

As an aside, any Toronto peeps wanna hang out soon? I'm planning to go toward the end of the month or the start of next, unless I catch my fourth cold of the year. 😅

Some general thoughts:
1. Keeping my fingers crossed that Pierre Poilievre, a number of his colleagues, and their creepy "biological clock" and anti-autonomy views lose the next Canadian federal election; things are looking optimistic so far at least!

2. Maybe looking for earbud suggestions: Considering the Huawei i6 model since a local computer shop has it on sale, but $80 is still a bit steep after discount.

3. It's that time of year where my sex drive kicks into overdrive and I just want to be tied into a sling and railed for a couple hours (sling optional). Like, absolutely fucked hardcore and-

Long stort short on this one, but I want to get to a point where I can:
1. Comfortably swim a couple KM out from shore at the beach and back again.
2. Run up several flights of stairs without breaking a sweat.
3. Go on multiple 2+ hikes/week.
4. Maybe, finally, go to the gym for once.

Also, even if I don't consider myself a gainer, I chat with & have enough of you as followers that I figure at least SOMEONE can give me some tips on how to alter or reshape the stress weight I gained over the winter so I can stay extra cuddly as I get back into my old routines... The stress weight? Caused by two family/health issues (we're all good now), three parts political nonsense (the CPC seem to be sabotaging themselves now, at least), and four parts just having too much chocolate around all the time. 🙃

So when reasonable people compare MAGA types to Nazis, the comparison isn't between 2025 MAGA and 1945 Nazis; the comparison is between 2025 MAGA and 1933 Nazis. The sooner they are stopped, the sooner their genocidal aspirations come to a halt.

However, keep in mind that electoral politics are incapable of stopping them at this point because electoral politics are how they attained power in the first place, and electoral rules are something they and their allies are now able to change and manipulate. Should their time in power come to a pause, once again, then the only way to actually stop them and make their efforts more difficult going forward would be to punish them via imprisonment, at the very least. In other words, they need to be removed from the equation outright.

And make no mistake, fellow Canadians; the CPC is very much MAGA-aligned, right down to wanting deeper integration with Trump's America. Make sure you vote against them when we eventually have our federal election, especially if you don't have the time or resources to volunteer or donate for a respectable party or movement.

But on a more serious note, it is really strange watching what was once a world empire crumble to dust in real time. On the plus side, the Trump Effect has been having a noticeably positive effect in Canada and I remain hopeful that our very own Temu Trump loses the next election later this year.
