This helps it retain energy instead of spending it to turn its heavy neck to look around on long migrations with its herd. These dinosaurs can also be bullies, kicking smaller dinosaurs out of their way and pushing them away from food sources, which they need a lot of.

Our largest citizen to date, the titanic Apatosaurus has a commanding presence as it steps into the open. With a tail capable of inflicting deep lacerating cuts with a swing, that heavy weapon of a tail acts as a sensory organ to feel others behind it.

It's important to note that while they are great parents, any unknown juveniles are in trouble of cannibalization from males. They might get lucky and be adopted if a female finds them though! Their popularity has led them to be our enduring mascot.

Well known for surviving horrible injuries that cripple most, Allosaurus are tough and resilient small pack hunters that follow the lead of a matriarch, most of the time at least. Dominant males sometimes can take the lead over their shy mates.

Because of their poor eyesight, these herbivores pick a mate with bright eye catching colors, simply because they can see them. It's a simple requirement given that these dinos stay paired for life and even mourn the deaths of their mates.

Round, hardy, and quick to startle, the nearsighted Anodontosaurus swings first and asks questions later when something is fast approaching. Not much can shake its slow and steady pace. A group of these clubtails is known as a quarry. Kinda cute, no?

Many small dinosaurs get confused by Alioramus' quick movements and inquisitive nature, with younger dinosaurs being fooled into believing the predator is playing with them, rather than luring them away from the protection of their parents.

Meet the Alioramus, T Rex's own ancestor. One of the more colorful dinos at the reserve, these small carnivores are clever strategists that use the terrain for their advantage. With a one for all mentality, they are cooperative pack hunters.

Dominant males are easy to spot within the herds called Towers. They are loud and almost always showing off in order to uphold dominance over the herd. Covered in sharp osteoderms, this sauropod fears only the largest predators such as Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus here. Talk about confidence.

Taller than its cousin Amargasaurus, Ampelosaurus are a nomadic and territorial herbivore that isn't shy about swatting away other dinosaurus that come too close with their tails. They even swing at others of their kind if they aren't fond of each other.

However, these predators work well in pairs, especially if it happens to be a mate. Unequivocally loyal, an Aerosteon will fight bitterly to the end with their partner by their side, rather than escape and live without them. Til death do they part.

While not the largest megaraptor of the reserve, Aerosteon can sound like it due to their well developed lungs that act more like bellows when they're on the run. These strong willed survivors don't do well in large groups and may fracture a pack with ceaseless infighting.

Her job is to pass down the knowledge of their nomadic migration routes to the rest of the herd, ensuring these pathways are remembered for generations to come after her. Each member learns of life saving places for food in droughts and the safest wallow spots for beating the heat in the dry season.

With tall spines and sails, Amargasaurus has a unique silhouette. These sauropods are known for traveling in herds split by genders into all female and all male herds, only uniting during the breeding season. But every time, the herd is lead by a wise old matriarch.

This reactive attitude allows the predator to avoid unnecessary injury that might spell doom in upcoming hunts. Another way this dinosaur ensures its survival is always by having a partner by its side, either it be a sibling or a mate it deeply trusts.

The tall spined Acrocanthosaurus can come off as lazy and passive due to its frequent naps and avoidance of other carnivores, but even this wall flower that loves to observe other dinosaurs has the ability to swiftly defend itself with surprising ferocity.

Within the herd, females may bond into unrelated sisterhoods, and bulls may form lasting friendships with a respected rival that they trust. However as united as they are, if the herd gets frightened, they may panic and flee, leaving only the lead bull to handle the situation!

Albertaceratops are stubborn, herd driven Centrosaurines that are notably loud given their size. You'll hear them before you see them. They are also one of the most maternal species, with females attempting to steal offspring if they suffer a loss.
