My early-hours evolution,
My spirit still so small and shy.
Without you —
My bittersweet illusion;
Tic-tac probably knows why.
A bittersweet conclusion —
No escape, no place to hide.
From your eyes I cannot flee,
Not awake, not in my dreams —
Even with my morning coffee.

In fading lights of midnight falling,
I see the only midnight skies.
At the dying end of the last warm days of autumn
I see the only — your eyes.

I just need you—
This day and one more too,
I just need you—
That’s all, you know it’s true.
I’m drivin’ crazy, girl,
Yeah, crazy over you.
