webp has been there for years now. Don't let it be the next ipv6 @github.com

Everytime you, as a maintainer, see an issue/PR where the OP attaches the pprof with a flame chart you start to pay attention even if you did not intend to at first

I guess I should've gone with M4 Max with 128G and not cheap out =(

I guess what makes the posts about AI worse than they could've been is that people use AI to edit/write them.

If you ever feel useless, remember that there are thousands of monitors that have built-in speakers.

i havent posted anything anywhere in a super long time

feels weird to shout into the void, but sometimes super cool convos or new friends come from doing that

so Ill try to do a bit more posting/being involved again. prolly talk about the usual stuff, especially around zig/go/python/k8s 🤷‍♂️

I would love to catch @ecbanks.bsky.social at a bar when he opens up.

The amount of BS he has to listen to at the sponsored shows is enormous. And the skin thickness measured in meters I guess.

I've been waiting a year this time to get my US visa to only get my passport lost by UPS when delivering it from Amsterdam to the Hague (as far as 50km)

Luck levels are skyrocketing

Some things you come to appreciate only after you start using them.

I remember being absolutely fine using the 1080p monitor until I got a 4K one, and magically, the grain on 1080p became so annoyingly visible.

In @eda.dev Web UI everything is streamed via web sockets, so you never hit Refresh ->

We also adopted @siderolabs.com Talos as our k8s distribution for @eda.dev

Declarative network automation framework 🤜🤛 Declarative k8s distro

It is this time of the year when a bunch of us are working on the #SReXperts hackathon exercises that attendees gonna dig into. Starting in Tarragona, Spain, this June.

I am leading the @eda.dev stream and, oh, boy, you are all in for a treat. We are skating to where the puck is going to be.

Setting up meetings across orgs (without seeing calendar' availability) is in the category of things that "should have been long solved"

So nice that I slept over poetry and woke up right when uv was already useful.

When relocating to EU 5 years ago one of the perks was having €50 in your pocket and being able to book a RT flight from Amsterdam to Rome, Berlin, Madrid, Portu, Split.

Surely, this never happened =)

@iximiuz.bsky.social nerd sniping: do you know of a tool that is capable of showing the OCI image layers for a media type

application/vnd.oci.empty.v1+json

dive does not like it... The example image is ghcr.io/eda-labs/banners:v1.0.0-rc1

Cisco Hyperfabric requiring a new NOS and hardware somewhat proves that fixing existing management stack on nxos for them is likely damn hard

Interesting how video editors on a phone do almost everything one needs for a quick on the road marketing

Next week I'm taking talking a 7hrs train commute across two of the most developed EU member states.

I dread this more than my flight to Sydney

Building cool networking labs that reach well beyond the networking boundaries and inviting application stacks to the lab playground is why we built @containerlab.dev

With KinD and containerized NOSes we can build crazy things that fit in the low-end host just fine.

Just like we don't care about xSTP anymore, we won't care about EVPN/VXLAN either in due time.

In hindsight, the YT's decision to remove downvotes was a net positive decision. Less hate waves going on while still providing the author with these metrics
