My favourite hostile UI/UX for this is in my car. There are two clocks that don't sync with each other - one uses GPS (automatic, love it, good) - the other requires the most arcane sequence of turning keys, pushing buttons and levers with zero labelling (require the manual for exact sequence)
Maybe try using a profile picture that isn't AI-generated and people might believe you're actually a terminally-online rage-a-holic.
Their product is free and open source - the "AI Nazi techbros" can use it regardless, but they're not because they're lazy. Just admit you came here to kneejerk rant without knowing anything about what is being discussed.
The fuck are you talking about? They're making bank off the grifters - they aren't the ones vibe-coding.
Bootstrapping was my primary use-case, but it really does just output the "wisdom of the commons" (ie. mostly working, but also likely directing you towards common foot-guns too). Now (if I use it at all) it's mostly to act as a kind of demo-generator (is. show me how this works).

We're launching a GoFundMe to cover legal fees to #FreeJavaScript trademark from Oracle.

We need to raise $200k to make full use of the discovery phase in the trademark cancelation petition. This is a critical step in protecting the JavaScript name for the whole community.

We need your help to continue our fight over Oracle's claim to the JavaScript trademark. Here's where we are now and what you can do to help.

My partner just flew back from Germany and was served pizza for one of their meals. It was a gluten free pizza too - so definitely doable!
Even if we ignore laws/regulations and go turbo-capitalist, implementing these features has minimal time cost and broadens your customer base - why on earth would you turn that down?

We are back! #C64 www.commodore.net The first official Commodore 64 in over 30 years is here - a faithful recreation of the original motherboard on FPGA hardware. HDMI, WiFi, USB, but compatible with every existing cartridge and peripheral. Not an emulator - a recreation. Same price as my first $299

Is there a non-sensationalised summary of the demands/requests of the movement? I believe in owning what you buy, but some of the demands I saw seemed wildly irrational and deeply harmful to the thing they want to protect.
After checking your original thread I spent a bit of time digging into where my Discover is coming from and I'm very glad I'm not getting the same experience you are. You're absolutely right though - if my "show less" wasn't working I'd have bounced off this place immediately.
I'm just still laughing at the idea of anyone needing a setup like this for WordPress... I'm sure there are maybe a handful of companies, but let's be real here lol.
Bookmarked to edit out WordPress and put in the name of whatever new product I'm working on to impress the product managers.
They had the gall to include a song mentioning how politically neutral they are and boy-howdy did that fall flat on its face. I know Australia's former presenters made it clear they weren't happy with the situation and now they've been replaced. ESC needs to do better.
Coders are notoriously picky about the tools they use, so your "citation" is the existence of coding-specific tools that people gladly continue to pay for - especially formerly niche ones like Supermaven. But you do you - keep up the good fight or whatever.
Your entire existence on this platform is replying to every thread about LLMs to dump on them and tech bros etc. There's nothing I could show you that would change your mind. Our industry has been using and paying for these tools since well-before ChatGPT and the public even heard the term "LLM".
I have no interest in AI-maxxing, but it has been a proven benefit for coders for years - well before the wider public had access to these tools. Giving over control to agentic tools is genuinely stupid, but "all LLMs are bad" is equally silly.
Yes, LLMs are flawed, but you are over-playing that point, especially with regards to coding. The nature of programming syntax, and wide open source availability of examples has meant code-related responses are more reliable, especially for smaller responses (autocompletes).
There are a lot of cases in code where it can be helpful; largely grunt work/autocomplete or implementing well-known solutions to common problems. The issue (as you alluded to) is knowing when the tool is suited to a task and when it's not, which is an entirely new set of skills to learn.

Without a Dawn will release in two weeks! 💚
I'm desperately trying to gather enough wishlists for the "popular upcoming" listing on Steam and could use your help: store.steampowered.com/app/3145620/... I believe my game deserves this chance. Thank you! 🥰

Coyote vs Acme has been acquired by Ketchup Entertainment for distribution!

The film stars Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor and Tone Bell.
It's not an excuse for Jordan, but his life has been threatened directly as a result of Australia's media empire, so I can understand his antagonistic attitude against a news aggregator that includes these news sources.
Good news? It looks like this is a known issue. Bad news? Obviously not fixed yet :(
Agreed, the yellow slaps with the purple hair :)
