Feeling good after a week off. Still a little disappointed about MCM London, but hopeful for Birmingham. Nearly finished a fun commission that I’m looking forward to sharing. Met a cow ❤️🐮! Newport comics fair is fast approaching too and hoping to make some new stuff for that!

So the disappointment comes from ‘this isn’t perfect for me’, and that I need some patience. I want the instant gratification of a big ikea shop, B&Q trip and making a space look pretty.
So this is my brain this week. Wanted to share it out loud rather that spinning it around my brain.

So I’m now excited about something I hadn’t put a heap of thought into before. I’ll froreal start some sort of vision board. I keep thinking if I had this space - what would I do?! What new creative opportunities would a big space give me. And I realise I can do most of that anyway. Right now.

I created a Pinterest board in my head. I had never really thought about a space like this in a very real sense before. Buuut, it’s not for me right now. Even if I had big £££ the spaces ain’t the solution to my current creative problems.

But we had a little day dream as I was looking around. Decorating the walls, building out new ikea furniture. A desk with a light box? Display my comic collection on the woodchip wall. I could set up the big easel I’ve had for 15(?) years but never used.

Before I even saw the building I had decided it wasn’t for me right now, the financial commitment, although a couple of the spaces were very reasonable, isn’t sensible. And if I’m honest, I don’t need that space like that. I’m mostly an iPad girly.
