Not totally sure about how I handled it as this was my first ever attempt at drawing Samantha Strong from Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, but I just had to draw her because she’s seriously intriguing. As far as fictional serial killers go, she’s the most realistic and competent. Scary! 🩸
I’m working on my next comic page, I swear. I have been fighting task paralysis, chronic fatigue and the chaos of life. Sometimes I have opened this document only to literally fall asleep 30 minutes later.

Damn bills. Anyway, yeah, I’m trying to make a finished comic chapter a reality.

OpenAI is huge in India. Its models are steeped in caste bias. When Dhiraj Singha began applying for postdoctoral sociology fellowships in Bengaluru, India, in March, he wanted to make sure the Eng...

PS, I am a nerd about data and corpus stuff, and AI has a lot of interesting things to talk about here, so if you want my opinion or to share your own resources (especially research papers), speaking as a multimedia artist who is officially AI neutral, lay it on me.
AI cannot and should not replace humanity in its current state, and if we do our best to educate ourselves before the point where a plausible β€œI, Robot” (book version) but with AI is a open plausibly, we can minimize the socioeconomic and technological harm these tools are capable of causing.
It is also of note that OpenAI has improved over time and it is a good general purpose AI compared to its extremely vulnerable and unregulated competitors. Its only downfall is no contingency plan in the event of the AI gaining sentience or control over humanity, which is why Anthropic is safer.
The image in the above post is a screenshot of the AI safety index. There are two versions currently out, 2024 and 2025. The index ranks AI companies on how they manage various types of security, information and other relevant data. Currently, Anthropic is the best heavy duty and safest AI tool.
I felt the need to share this in part to speak my mind as an artist and the educate people on the risks of AI and how to be smart if you decide to use AI.

If you know me, you should be aware that I think that AI is a good tool. But that’s all it is, a tool. And we should be informed on our tools.
All purchases will not only go towards maintaining my shop but it will also help me keep up with debt and give me some time and peace of mind as I work on my comic. I’m also working on getting themed animal stickers up that will have print on demand through a third party. Stay tuned!
Announcement: I have some items up on my Etsy shop, I do plan my shipping around my work commutes so I do promise shipping within the week. Shop is still under construction, but I am adding as I go. I currently have necklaces, bracelets and (old) one of a kind art for sale.

I’m Neon (you can also call me Zeta) and I draw a lot of OCs, creatures and monsters. I’m drawing a comic about Djinn but I also draw a lot of traditional art to experiment with ideas and techniques. I enjoy using bold colors.

I’m LGBTQ+ and I live with chronic pain. Nerdy and hopeless romantic.
Also I draw most of my traditional art on printer paper and it is extremely hard to get the ink to leak through. You would basically have to purposefully destroy the brush to get it to transfer to the surface below. So this is really good on thinner paper despite the powerful ink
For those curious, this is the Bimoji brush pen with a medium tip (lines are 0.5-8.0mm thick depending on angle and pressure) as manufactured by Kuretake.
From now on; I will only buy ink brushes made for calligraphy in Asian styles. This is the first time I doodled and generally got a feel for this brush and it just suits my style so well.

Fiber-Castell… you’re great but your brush pens are often very limiting in contrast

Instinct: you must hug the murder chicken
Heart: I love those feathers!!!
Brain: Short snoot gets booped
Me: they’re smaller than Jurassic Park raptors but I would absolutely get murdered by these things
For context: upward means not in use, downward means in use. The double sided ones were spawned many years ago when little me was way too rough on pencils and had the genius yeah to make them less likely to splinter/stab me by sharpening them on both sides and wear them down
Colored pencil setup. For those who are curious, yes I do use all these as needed, rather than what I want to get rid of. But I’m trying to use up many of these

Yeah… at this point my OCs are basically my safe space that I can coddle and my dress up dolls for cool fashion ideas

& I purposefully built their society to have a more inclusive yet less verbose idea of diversity because it’s been exhausting talking about a lot of identity politics/mental health.
