Before All You Need Is Love, there was The Word. Tucked within Rubber Soul, this track marks a turning point for The Beatles - a moment when love became more than just romance.

I've written an article on why it deserves more recognition in The Beatles’ catalogue.

Have you heard The Word is love?

RIP Patrick Barclay. Once spoke to him in a Tunis hotel lift during the 2004 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia. He was a great football writer but also seemed to be a genuinely nice man.

One questions remains: What was kept inside that greenhouse?

As a Labour MP, I’m happy to say Ed Davey wasn’t wrong on this. Our politics should never be able to be bought by foreign billionaires, whether they’re American, Russian or from any other country.
Lib Dem leader Ed Davey says Elon Musk is trying to “buy” Reform UK.

He asks Keir Starmer to join Lib Dems in cracking down on foreign donations to UK political parties.

Starmer says he is “looking at the question of funding more generally.”

And throughout January every episode of the Get Back pod is being played in an art gallery in Folkestone, on the corresponding day, along with new artwork every day.

On my Beatles “Get Back” rewatch. In the US m, January 6th had a certain meaning. To me, it’s “George v Paul. “I’ll play whatever you want me to play” day. John and Ringo watch on impassively - John was in his heroin(!) smoking phase. Ringo sits. Silent. Probably hungover. Internally cringing.

Company established by Musk in the UK 3 weeks ago on December 12th!! Why we wonder!!

Pull your finger out @uklabourparty.bsky.social, grow some balls and stop even more "corruption" destroying what's left of our democracy

Right now you have a majority the likes of which you might never see again
This is important.
'We don’t know what that company is for but if Musk did want to pour £100m into the next UK election, as it’s been reported, this is how he could do it.'
