Another temperature inversion image from the Campsies and this was the most dynamic one I have seen to date. A wind was blowing the top of the inversion along creating this effect as the cloud layer moved quite quickly.

I'm going to post a few temeprature inversion images of mine from recent times over the coming week. I'll start with one of the most breath taking scenes I have seen at the Campsies. You can normally see over 20 miles at this viewpoint which gives you a sense of scale.

Campsie Glen temperature inversion, Scotland. We have had very few of these so far in the last 3 months. Wind and rain have been the order of the day and that looks to be the case for a while yet.

Managed to get out with the camera for an hour at the weekend so went to @uofglasgow.bsky.social cloisters to shoot the festive lights used. I was a little surprised only 25% of them were switched on. I thought this colour image works well for #sharemondays2025

Winters kiss. I was away at a funeral yesterday so no post from me. The tops of the mountains have had a dusting of snow for about a week now and the forecast today is for the first burst of winter snow showeres so here an image from last Saturday.

The second of this months Highly Commended awards for me from the BPA and it's a mono image that was processed to showcase the low sunlight. I felt the coloured version, with strong greens didn't work well so went mono and it seems the judges approved of my choice

After weeks of rain and low cloud, we had a couple of hours with some small breaks in the clouds so I managed to travel to the Carse of Stirling with the camera, my first shoot in weeks.
