The US K-12 educational system was designed to create factory line workers. Only the advanced institutions of education seemed to keep pace with world demand as the US moved from manufacture fabrication to idea creation; physical ownership vs. intellectual property.

Argentinian beef carries screw worm larvae. It will not only decimate American cattle, but also American humans, pets, livestock, and wildlife. This is a very serious threat, and the US response *was* 2 years out before Trump started slashing funding.

I suspect these bailouts of fraud. A very large percentage of American farmland is owned and controlled by foreign conglomerates. I doubt any bailout is really intended for American farms. Corporate farms want to buy out more bankrupt family farms, further eroding Midwest communities.
