During finals, I try to eat breakfast to fuel myself throughout the day. I usually eat greek yogurt with fruit and granola. I also eat cereal and egg sandwiches sometimes too. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I never knew magnesium could be present in so much of the veggies I eat, with spinach having 157 milligrams of magnesium per cooked cup. I also didn't know of all the health benefits that comes with eating it. I will be sure to add more magnesium rich foods in my diet. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I learned that it is rare to have a Vitamin K deficiency due to the its presence in various foods. I also learned that vitamin K is necessary for normal clotting of the blood, making it given routinely to newborns to prevent bleeding problems. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

When I make a sandwich, I use white bread, turkey, cheese, and some sauce. To make this more nutrient rich, I could replace the white bread with whole grain bread, add more veggies, use low-fat cheese, and choose low sodium sauces. Also, add fruits on the side. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

As someone that does consume information through social media, it is shocking to see how much misinformation is passed around. It is important to make sure that the media we consume is accurate, especially with unaccredited trends like a "new popular diet." #beh253 @beh353.bsky.social
The sheer speed at which people hit a like button or make one-word affirmation comments in response to posts with articles linking to misinformation or propaganda, that they neither read, or question, (ie look up one other source), is astonishing.
