We were honoured to contribute to their recent campaign by providing insight from our national data, highlighting the devastating impact fuel poverty has on children and families.

The latest The National Child Mortality Database report shows we're the only region to achieve the National Maternity Safety Ambition to reduce rate of neonatal deaths to 1 per 1,000 live births.

From 2019–24, winter mortality was 6.5% higher, with the sharpest increases linked to infections, deprivation & inequalities.

Stark new data from @ncmd.bsky.social shows just how unsafe rented or temporary accommodation can be for families and the serious risk it poses to children's lives.

We urge the Government to take immediate measures to ensure that families' stay in TA is as short and safe as possible.
