water falling *

* such a description suggests its location might be important; however, this overly simple image is, primarily, a quick study of the whites of water creating a kanji-like presence against a dominantly black background.
This is an image of water flowing over rocks, yet such a description suggests its location might be important. The image, primarily, is a quick study of the whites of water creating a kanji-like presence against a dominantly black background.

This is a black and white image of a rectangular rock on the shoreline-- with part of an island-like sea stack in the distance on the right. The wet sand includes reflections of the sea stacks.

Truly beautiful contrast of light and clouds expressed through those rich blues.

I spend very little time in Photoshop— typically somewhere from several minutes to fifteen minutes. While my work is definitely all digital, I find whatever I find by digitally burning and dodging using Photoshop and Nik Silver Efex Pro. Thanks for your kind words.

Found on an aimless drive through the Petaluma dairy farms in Sonoma County, California. I have always loved how that one tree on the left stands apart from the crowd (and how how the one to the right of it looks as if it wishes to join that tree).
This is a photograph of a group of eucalyptus trees, most of which are settled in a dip on a hill above a dairy farm. One of the trees stands to the left of the group as if it is not part of that group. Above the trees, the light breaks through some clouds.
