Enjoyed listening to episode 8 of The Forgotten Dead, which talks about some of the barriers to using investigative genetic genealogy in the UK (totally navigable, in my opinion!) and mentions the pilot study currently being conducted by Scotland Yard.

So....I snuck something out. 🤭
My 1st book. 'Hastings at War 1939-1945' is filled with accounts of life in the town during the WW2, supported by hundreds of references to records, personal testimonies and images.

No major changes for my 23&Me ancestry report. Still mainly European with my 2x great grandmother’s Asian ancestry in the mix.

Just had a very interesting tour of the Metropolitan Police Museum, which included the toilet door from Rillington Place, the bath from the Brides in the Bath murder and various other artefacts which have helped shape police procedures over the years. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!
