Naladraws portrait commissions sheet. 6 full color busts of a variety of diverse characters. Price starts at $150. Next, a collection of four colored sketch busts, featuring sketchier line art and flatter coloring style. Pricing stats at $80. Next, three inked portraits with limited spot colors, starting at $100. Last, four doodles labeled “shitty profile pics.” Price is pay what you can, starting at $15. In the upper corner is some terms that read: Prices vary depending on level of details. A character design fee will be charged if CLIENT provides limited or all-text/no visual references. Commissions will be added to ARTIST’s queue unless a timeline is given by CLIENT. Rush fees may apply for quick turnarounds. All commissions are not to be minted or used in association with NFTs, nor may they be fed to any generative AI. All other terms and conditions apply (the full T & C is attached to every invoice, and a copy can be requested in advance if needed)

I am SO proud of this team and this book !!! I attached my artist statement for this cover; so much heart went into this and I hope y’all like it as much as I do!!

Jae holding Kids in Capes with their art on it It was very important to me to portray a fat queer kid on the cover because I don't see very many RPGs with that kind of representation anywhere-and for a game grounded in reality, centered around characters who are (typically) aged 10/12-16/18; kids who look like the one on the cover are typically outcasts (and/or are bullied by their peers). My hope is that ALL kinds of kids and teenagers (and adults of course) see a cover like this and feel affirmed that ANYONE can be a hero, no matter what you look like. The narrative of Kids in Capes of 'finding your own identity while growing up and dealing with all the usual trials and tribulations of being a teenager (further pushed by adding superpow-ers) stands out to me as a queer trans person of color. After all, what are superpowers-Some-thing that a lot of kid-heroes may need to hide from others, feeling alone and disconnected from peers due to something unchangeable about themselves (a feeling I really wanted to evoke with this kid sitting alone on a roof, looking up at a brilliant sky of possibility, of the future, of hope), grappling with a bunch of adults who could never understand, or even fear, their new abilities-What are superpowers but an allegory for Queerness in a world where being straight lie power-less) is the norm? This cover art means a lot to me and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Something I loved about commissioning all this art is that i wanted a variety of locations; places that felt REAL and grounded. Kids in Capes focuses on the ‘kids next door’ type heroes and I wanted to show that this game allows ANYONE, from ANYWHERE, to tell a story of teenage heroes.
