He's doing the new Lanterns TV show, isn't he?
Ahhhaha... I was kind of wondering if you had watched that one! It seems like a Garrett sort of show. :) I agree though - it was a fascinating story with interesting characters, and I loved the tonal shift between seasons.
Haha! I know, as I was chewing that was my exact thought.

But that was on Friday. I think I'm okay.

😧
I ate a slice of the one on the left. This is a Carolina Reaper pepper, weighing in at 1.6 million scovilles. It was the hottest pepper in the world between 2013 to 2023 until Pepper X unseated it. It was insanely, mouth scorchingly hot for a long 15m and then mildly burny for another 45m.
I'll be honest... I had a bit of a crush on her as a kiddo. RIP Jane.
Finally got my copy of the new RA! This has long been one of my favourites. Everything looks stunning. A bit redundant on the packaging maybe? Bags within bags. No bother. I'll reuse them elsewhere.
That's not bad actually. Something where I can simmer the heat and balance it with some sweetness. I also like the idea of drying it into a seasoning.
I’m growing Carolina Reapers. I’m not exactly sure why and as they ripen I’m feeling more and more obliged to eat one. Save me.
Here's the cover art for Brian Asklev's Baltic Empires. Gorgeous! @zweigefuhle.bsky.social @gmtgames.bsky.social
"...a wartime sketch done by Sgt. Howard Brodie in 1945 Germany which bears the caption: "GIs froze in position when caught in flare on snowy road. One held his arm outstretched. Moving, they may be detected by enemy. Motionless, they may appear part of landscape."
That's a beautiful new image for the Combat Commander 20th Anniversary Edition box from @gmtgames.bsky.social.
This is neat. I love my jumbo Mercury edition of Container. It's a lusciously overproduced monster that's fun to play with. Still, I love the art style on this @allplay.bsky.social edition. Excited to see more.
I know what I want for Christmas.
That's a great description.

Active-aggressive versus passive-aggressive.
I took about 40 photos to get this perfect pose. :)
Took a stroll through some beautiful local gardens today, and found this little friend.
Kurt is listed as the artist on Norman Conquests, the Men Of Iron volume preceding this one, so that might just be right. Style is just a little more grim and loose in these compared to Pendragon though. I will say... the man knows how to illustrate horses!
Could be! This one appears a little more... painterly maybe? A bit less polished? But that could just be an adjustment in style. Regardless, I really dig it.
I really like the box art for Purgatorio! Who's the artist on this one, @gmtgames.bsky.social?
Yup - and if you get out to like... Elginburg, or Kingston Mills, lots of great country roads. I miss Kingston. Where I'm living now is just kind of a stand-in. :)
I fixed my Devinci road bike up this summer! I spent a couple of weeks in June learning how to remove the chain, clean it of rust, lube, and replace - and then I retaped the handlebars. Sadly, I've not really taken it anywhere aside from around the block. Must change that.
My son and I went on a camping trip to Presqu'ile last week. We brought along some boardgames - and he decidedly trounced me at most of them, including Hive, Can't Stop, and Sagrada.
