Back in the 20th century, Saturday Night Live did a parody of Jeopardy titled Jeopardy 1999. The answer was, “First terrorist group to use an atomic bomb.” The correct question was, “Who are the Young Republicans.” Got a laugh from the audience. Not that far fetched today.

Let me guess, those passport readers that can in a fraction of a second verify the passport’s validity won’t work on the street. OR, the more likely reason they don’t have them, is verifying citizenship would cut down on their precious arrest counts…

I raise one finger as the wave passes to show my contempt to the whole thing. There is rarely an appropriate time in the game for such a display. If the game is close, the wave is a distraction to the visiting team & shows poor sportsmanship. If the home team is ahead, the wave is just rude.

Repubs wrote the script for the demise of their party when they shredded their political philosophy. It started when Reagan played games with right vs. wrong when he committed sedition in Iran-Contra (+ taking bribes to decide industrial policy). Since then GQP has been all words and no knickers.

Gave up on Lamestream media since early 2024. I rely on podcasters and a handful of newsletter writers. Besides, the same spoiled, greedy oligarchs own the big media outlets, the last thing they want to print/broadcast is the truth.

Not only is he not liked. If you look at his live, unedited media comments, IMnsHO, he’s an idiot. He says things that only appeals to MAGAland, which only works for Dwumpy. Anyone else needs crossover votes and bipartisan appeal. For every MAGA he reaches, he turns off everyone left of far right.

IMnsHO, I think a couple of them are true believers in MAGA. Prolly brought up in a sheltered environment, meaning no libs, no progressive ideas, no exposure to the non-affluent. I've seen what growing up rich does to a human brain, and it's not a pretty picture.
