My god. I remember the lead paint everywhere. My dad made my mum paint the house with it just after my brother was born ('79)... poor thing had to leave him at the bottom of the ladder (born in June so it was warm!) And keep him away from it as much as possible while watching him. Awful stuff.

Weirdly they had quite strict laws about sexual offences (sadly largely targeting same sex relationships under 21), but essentially MAGA are worse than Nazis.

That said, I'm 100% sure they were out there. Power corrupts.

My neighbour growing up survived Auschwitz. She was able to escape with her sister (long and incredible story).

She would also have signed up to wipe every Arab off the face of the earth (her words). I never, ever, understood how that worked.

No, they bore me to tears. My brother was their press officer for years so I've driven nearly all of them, on and off track. They're ok, but again nothing special or original.
