Realized I was taking a lot of misc project photos with my phone, so I've been keeping a camera body with macro lens just lying around.

Resulting photos of a dye job on some tiny fpv drone frames and canopies. Turns out it's surprisingly easy to do!

Ended up re-buying a 360 camera I lost coming back from the Maldives/Abu Dhabi trip. No regrets--took three photos with it on the trail today, found neat projections in all three

Iterating the same fractal/style transfer pipeline for six years: Making a wheelhouse feel like a wheelhome

(Literally) dusted off the pen plotter. This will be a 4-color plot, with no pickups aside from pen changes

I have a dedicated plotter VM, which now lives on a different host, but is otherwise unchanged. Pastthew even wrote logic to ping house text-to-speech when pen change needed!

In my photo circles, there was always mild scorn towards gear-motivated people. But at least for me, a big challenge of creative output is motivation, and "guilty because I bought new gear I'm not using" is an easy lever to pull.
